I am called Tensai, but I’m not one bit of a genius, just like Froggy here isn’t one bit of a tadpole. Or a toad. Or maybe sometimes he is, lol.

Anyway, Frog and I met a little more than two years ago, in the Prince of Tennis fandom. I was just starting to write fan fiction back then, and he was one of the first few authors who helped me flesh out my writing.

I’m not nearly as good as him, but I’m the type to over think things about anime so we got along pretty well. He wanted my introspection on this blog, as he is on this crusade to “treat so-called ‘trashy’ titles with the intellectual weight they deserve.” So yeah, he invited me in and I agreed to do it.

I’m a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to watching anime, because I was only permitted to use the internet freely when I went to college. Sucks to be me, right? I haven’t watched that many titles as Froggy had, but I’d gladly offer my thoughts on what I have seen so far.

As for tastes, well, I’m a sucker for sports-themed anime, but I pretty much watch anything (except maybe for magical girls) that interests me. I have the habit of ragequitting, though, when I figured a series is not quite my cup of tea. My favorite anime would be Rurouni Kenshin.

Usually, I would convey my introspection through my stories, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to use a more direct approach. I’ll be able to write more that way, and more people would be able to read them.

I’m not sure if I’m the right person to be doing this, since I don’t consider anything I’ve seen through the end as “trashy.” But hopefully I’d be able to give a fresh perspective on Code Geass, KuroBasu, Maid-sama, and many more.

So yeah, I’m with you on this crusade, Froggy!
